Living Nativity, Christmas Concert and Christmas and New Year Mass Schedule at St. Anastasia Catholic Church

A live Nativity will be presented by children and choirs of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 3 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18. A prelude concert of Christmas carols starts inside the church at 3 p.m. followed by an outdoor procession from the church’s covered portico.

Congratulations to Mrs. Myers’s First Grade Class at Holy Spirit Catholic School in Jacksonville for placing first in the Religious Category of the Jacksonville Historical Society’s Gingerbread House Extravaganza. There are a total of eight categories, including Traditional, Fantasy, Landmark, Local Historic, Local Structure, Religious, Storybook and Other.

Annual Collection Supports Eldercare Needs of Religious Communities

The annual Retirement Fund for Religious collection will be held Dec. 10-11 in the Diocese of St. Augustine. Coordinated by the National Religious Retirement Office (NRRO), the parish-based appeal benefits nearly 33,000 senior Catholic sisters, brothers and religious order priests whose communities lack adequate retirement savings.
