Reporting Abuse
The Diocese of St. Augustine treats all allegations of sexual abuse seriously and deals with them in a prompt, confidential and thorough manner. Keep in mind:
- Every person has the right to be treated with the dignity befitting a child of God.
- Every person has the right to have appropriate boundaries respected.
- Every person has the right to challenge any comment or behavior that is perceived to be sexually oriented.
Individuals who have been sexually abused by clergy, religious, seminarians or other church personnel, should contact their local police department or the Florida Department of Children and Families at 1-800-96Abuse (2873). Or contact the Victim Assistance Coordinator for the Diocese of St. Augustine.

Help for Victims and their Families
The Diocese of St. Augustine places no deadlines or time limits on reporting the sexual abuse of minors by clergy, religious, seminarians or other church personnel and volunteers. Be it five, 15, or 50 years later, our diocese accepts and responds to all reports.
