In this segment, we will see some of the reforms of Pope Saint Gregory the Great and how they have added to our celebrations today. Important to this period as well is Charlemagne who wanted to use the Catholic worship as a unifying part of his empire. During this time, rubrics for celebrations began to be developed that would increase the unity of the Mass.
