Covering Diocesan Events
Reporters and photographers are welcome to cover celebrations of the Mass and diocesan events. Still, we ask that you notify us in advance so we can assist you in getting clearance from the priest in charge. Photography is permitted inside the church during Mass with proper clearance, but please refrain from using a flash. Photographers and videographers are asked to stay a respectable distance from the altar and try not to stand in the space between the sanctuary and the congregation. And finally, we ask that you respect the privacy of individuals receiving Communion. Please direct all questions to Kathleen Bagg at kbagg@dosafl.com. We’d love to hear about the great things happening in your parish community and school! Share your stories and upcoming events with us, and we’ll help spread the word through St. Augustine Catholic magazine, the diocesan website, our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube), and even with local news media. For best results, please notify us as far in advance as possible—at least 5-6 weeks before your event, including your registration deadline. Use the News Release Request Form to submit details for events you’d like publicized within our diocesan outlets and with secular media.
