Families and individuals from across the Diocese of St. Augustine are invited to the second annual DOSA Family Fest on Saturday, April 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios, 101 San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine.
Family Fest was first introduced during last year’s Jubilee of Hope, when the diocese celebrated many celebrations including the Jubilee of Families. Building on its success, Family Fest returns this year as a joyful gathering for faith, fellowship and fun.
The day will include an outdoor Mass celebrated by Bishop Erik Pohlmeier and opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, spiritual talks and activities for all ages across the shrine grounds, including inflatable games, a petting zoo, Kids Zone, Teen Hut and live entertainment.
Five food trucks offering a variety of options — including pizza, burgers, ice cream and coffee — will also be available.
Featured speakers are Dr. Andrew and Sarah Swafford, Catholic authors and speakers who share practical insights on marriage, Scripture and family life.
Although the event celebrates family life, everyone is welcome, including young adults, singles, couples and seniors.
Some seating will be available, but guests may wish to bring a lawn chair or blanket if they would like to relax on the grounds throughout the day.
Admission is $5 per person or $15 per family. Advance registration is encouraged. For more information or to register, visit www.dosafamilyfest.com or contact Elena Roane at familylife@dosafl.com.
