Voices of Hope: An Interfaith Gathering for the Jubilee Year

In a world longing for healing and unity, where do faith leaders turn for hope?

You’re invited to Voices of Hope: An Interfaith Gathering for the Jubilee Year—an afternoon of shared prayer, dialogue and fellowship as leaders of various religious traditions reflect on where they draw strength and how they sustain hope in today’s world.

Held as part of the Vatican’s Jubilee Year of Hope 2025, this special gathering will take place on Sunday, July 27, at the Pilgrim Center of the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche in St. Augustine. The program begins at 1:00 p.m. with a welcome, interfaith prayer and a panel conversation among prominent local leaders representing Christian, Jewish, Sikh and Baha’i faith communities.

Panelists include:

Bishop Erik T. Pohlmeier, of the Catholic Diocese of St. Augustine
Rev. Dr. Priscilla B. Durkin, of Memorial Presbyterian Church
Dr. Holly Nadji, DMD, of the Baha’i Community
Rabbi Merrill Shapiro, founding president, St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society
Sukhbir Singh, co-founder of the Sikh Society of Northeast Florida

The event will be emceed by Rev. Rebekah McLeod Hutto, director of Interfaith and Cultural Programs at OneJax, and hosted by Erin McGeever, director of Christian Formation for the Diocese of St. Augustine.

Following the panel, a reception will be held at 3:00 p.m. No registration is necessary, but seating is limited to 105 participants.
