St. Ambrose Family Life Center Groundbreaking

On Sunday, August 18, 2024, St. Ambrose parish celebrated a momentous occasion with the ground-breaking of its new Family Life Center. The day began with a special 11 a.m. Mass was celebrated by Bishop Pohlmeier, during which the congregation gathered in prayer and gratitude for the blessings that had brought the church to this milestone.

Bishop Pohlmeier’s homily incorporated the first reading from the book of Proverbs, “Wisdom has built her house” (Proverbs 9:1). He emphasized the importance of seeing how God sees and living lives as a beacon of hope. The church came together to celebrate this new foundation for the community and the many ways it would serve and strengthen families.

Following the Mass, the faithful proceeded to the site for the ceremonial ground-breaking, marking the beginning of this exciting new chapter. The day’s events concluded with a reception, offering an opportunity for fellowship and reflection on the vision that would soon take shape.
