Eighteen children experienced Christ’s loving care at St. William Parish’s June Vacation Bible School (VBS) in Keystone Heights. Kathryn Smersh, the director of religious education, highlighted the enriching activities centered on “Spending Time with the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” Participants enjoyed a video about St. Margaret Mary Alacoque, crafted peg dolls, designed tie-dye t-shirts, attended adoration, and engaged in prayers, games, and songs. Smersh noted the joy of seeing the children excited to come to church, learn and have fun. A special highlight was the children’s enthusiasm for meeting seminarians Colter Brown and Anthony Scott, which added to the VBS’s success and positive impact.
