With praise and thanksgiving to Almighty God, 11 seminarians at St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Fla., were ordained to the transitional diaconate on April 22 by Bishop Erik Pohlmeier of St. Augustine.
Deacons Diego Vasquez and Cristian Vergara were ordained for service in the Diocese of St. Augustine. They will be assigned to parishes where they will exercise their ministry in preparation to become priests the following year. Deacon Vasquez will serve at Holy Family Parish, Williston and Deacon Vergara, St. John the Evangelist, Chiefland for the summer. Both will also serve in prison ministry.
