The Nearly New Thrift Store will be holding its fifth annual All Things Christmas sale from Thursday, Nov. 17, through Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Santa Maria del Mar Church Parish Hall, 915 North Central Avenue, Flagler Beach, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All proceeds will support the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Santa Maria del Mar Conference, with charitable activities helping the needy in Flagler County.
“All Things Christmas not only helps the poor in our area but also brings together the community for a good cause,” said store manager Brenda Hagedorn. “We get many people looking for Christmas items who had never heard of our store and afterward they continue to come in year-round.”
The event will feature a large selection of Christmas items at thrift store prices including wreaths, trees, lights, nativity scenes, stockings, cards, candles, ornaments and “those unique Christmas t-shirts and sweaters we all enjoy.” New merchandise will be added daily with many one-of-a-kind items selling quickly so the public is invited to stop by more than once.
The Nearly New Thrift Store bakers will also be selling individually wrapped homemade cakes, cookies, muffins, brownies, bread and pies during the event.
“This event has been very successful these past five years,” said Hagedorn. “What started out as a small selection of items under a canopy tent outside our store has grown into a 3-day fundraiser hosted at Santa Maria del Mar Church.”
All Things Christmas has become an annual major fundraising event supporting the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Santa Maria del Mar Conference, which is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit international voluntary organization in the Catholic Church. Among its efforts to offer help, the Society’s Nearly New Thrift Store sells donated goods at a low price to raise money for struggling families in Flagler County and helps them with basic living needs.
