As winners of the prestigious Eastman Concerto Competition, Duo-B has performed across three continents including landmark performances in Kodak Hall at the Eastman Theater, the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Universität der Künste in Berlin, and Minatomirai Hall in Yokohama, Japan. Most recently they were featured guest artists at the 2017 Iowa Composer’s Forum and will serve as the string faculty for the Dorian Summer Camp at Luther College.

Concerts in St. Anastasia Catholic Church’s 2017-18 Concert Series are free. Peter Morin, music director at St. Anastasia Parish in St. Augustine has announced that limited reserved front area seating will be available for youth and their families.
“With so many young children getting interested in musical instruments in schools and elsewhere, we thought this would be a good opportunity for them to get a close-up of professional musicians doing what they do best,” Morin said.

Future concerts in the series include Helen Morin with special guests Randy Tinnin and Curtis Powell (violin, trumpet, and piano) on Feb. 17. Scott Marosek (solo classical and jazz piano) on March 24; Peter Simon (The Spiritual Music of the Great Composers) on April 7; and the Jacksonville University Orchestra on April 22.

A free-will collection will be taken at the concerts for those who wish to contribute to the event expenses. Free parking is provided at the church which is located at 5202 A1A South on Anastasia Island. The church seats more than 1,400. For information call (904) 471-5364.
