Statement from Bishop Erik T. Pohlmeier of St. Augustine on the 22nd Anniversary of 9/11

My dear Brothers and Sisters,

On this solemn day, we remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, when our world was forever changed. We recall the lives lost, the heroes who emerged and the unity that carried us through.

Today, let us honor those we lost by reaffirming our commitment to peace, respect and unity. In times of adversity, may we find strength in coming together as a global community, transcending divisions.

As Bishop, I urge you to let the lessons of 9/11 guide us toward a more compassionate and harmonious world. Pray that we can heal and build a future that reflects the best of our shared humanity.

Yours in Christ,

Most Rev. Erik T. Pohlmeier
Bishop of St. Augustine
