Youth Day: Bishop Installation of Relics and Statues

Mark your calendars for August 3, a day filled with special events for the youth! The journey will commence at St. Benedict the Moor Mission at 9 a.m. and culminate at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios at 3 p.m. Our main attraction will be the veneration of a first-class relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis and the unveiling of two statues of St. Benedict the Moor and Blessed Carlo Acutis. These statues will be consecrated during the Mass at Saint Benedict the Moor Mission and broadcast on an outdoor screen. Please note, seating inside the church is limited. Following the Mass, we will have a youth day with various activities. Students will learn about a relic and how to make one. They can touch the first-class relics as they go through the church and create a third-class relic prayer card to take home. A community lunch will be served. Finally, at 12:30 p.m., we will have a Eucharistic miracle scavenger hunt through the city from St. Benedict the Moor to the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios.

The registration fee is $25 which includes a boxed lunch and relic prayer card.
