Diocese of St. Augustine’s 35th Annual Red Mass

Cardinal Christophe Pierre, Apostolic Nuncio to the United States, will celebrate the Diocese of St. Augustine’s 35th Annual Red Mass on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in downtown Jacksonville. Bishop Erik Pohlmeier will join him as concelebrant.
Appointed by Pope Francis as nuncio in 2016 and elevated to cardinal in 2023, Cardinal Pierre has served nearly five decades in the Vatican’s diplomatic corps, with postings in Mexico, Uganda, Haiti, and other nations.
