Continuum of Care for an Aging Generation – A Sacred Opportunity
December 3 @ 6:15 pm to 7:45 pm
Patricia Poticny, health and wellness administrator for the Sisters of St. Joseph will be the featured presenter at the event, as St. Joseph Ministries invites you to join us for a faith-filled look at caregiving through the eyes of God with advice on navigating life’s later seasons with compassion, courage and grace. The event will be Monday, Dec. 3 from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. at the St. Joseph Neighborhood Center’s upper room, located at 90 Martin Luther King Avenue in St. Augustine. Free parking will be available adjacent to the building.
It is important to remember that caregiving is not just a responsibility — it’s a sacred calling! Some of the themes will include:
• Continuum of Care: How needs change over time and how faith can guide each transition.
• Levels of Care: Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care — Making an informed decision.
• Hospice Care: Peace for mind, body and soul, and embracing sacred moments of life with dignity and grace.
• Caring for Yourself: Strength, rest and renewal for caregivers.
• Faith and Emotions: Turning weariness or frustration into compassion and understanding.
