Connecting with Creation

Hear the “Cry of the Earth” and the “Cry of the Poor.”  Join the Care for God’s Creation Ministry at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach on Saturday, Nov. 15 from 8 to 11 a.m. as they pray, educate, and advocate for our common home and its inhabitants. The event will take place at the St. Paul’s Family Life Center and honor the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ “Laudato Si” (praise be to you), which said responsible stewardship of the environment was a moral imperative for Catholics. We will begin the day with 8 a.m. mass followed by a light breakfast in the center. The speaker series will begin with Sister Carol Stovall, SSJ, leading us in prayer and “internal ecology,” and followed by Terry O’Brien talking about “fast fashion;” and Linda Krepp about human impact on Florida waterways.
