John Walker Earns His Eagle Scout with a Project at Most Holy Redeemer

John Walker, a parishioner and long-time altar server of the Most Holy Redeemer parish in Jacksonville, recently achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 252, which meets at St. Matthew Catholic Church. This is a remarkable accomplishment, and we congratulate John on his dedication and hard work.

The Eagle Scout project involved rehabilitating the church’s dilapidated and unused picnic area. John demolished the old picnic tables and replaced them with brand new ones he purchased using the $1,500 he raised through a GoFundMe campaign. John donated any remaining funds directly to the parish.

We are proud of John for his commitment to the community and parish. He has displayed remarkable leadership and dedication, which is admirable at such a young age. This achievement is a testament to his hard work, and we wish him all the best as he enters college at FSU this fall.
