A Pilgrimage to Hope: From Promise to New Creation

17th Annual Summer School of Theology – June 23-27

The Diocesan Office of Christian Formation invites all adults interested in deepening their faith to the 17th Annual Summer School of Theology, held June 23–27, in the Wisdom Center at Marywood Retreat & Conference Center.

This year’s theme, “A Pilgrimage of Hope: From Promise to New Creation,” will be led by theologian Dr. Jack Daniels, who will guide participants through a full week of immersive study and reflection on the theological foundations of hope.

Dr. Daniels, an Old Testament instructor in the Ministry Formation Program for more than 13 years, brings a lifetime of academic insight to this summer’s journey through the prophetic voices of hope—from ancient Israel to the mission of the Church today.

Whether you are a current student, an alum of the MFP program or discerning a new step in ministry, this weeklong deep dive offers an enriching opportunity for:

  • Continuing theological formation
  • Continuing Formation Certification hours (formerly Level III)
