Join the Fun with Blessed CarloAcutis & St. Benedict the Moor!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Aug. 3, at St. Benedict the Moor Mission Church, 86 Martin Luther King Ave. in historic St. Augustine. The Cathedral Parish is hosting a special Day for Youth as the faith community anticipates the canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis, the first 21st-century saint, and honors him with a first-class relic!

Bishop Erik Pohlmeier will install the relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis and a relic of St. Benedict the Moor as permanent fixtures in the church, accompanied by two beautiful statues of these saints. The day will include:

  • Mass & Installation of Relics
  • Veneration of the Relics
  • Creating Third-Class Relics
  • Community Lunch
  • Live Music
  • Adoration & Worship
  • Eucharistic Scavenger Hunt ending at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios in St. Augustine with Blessed Carlo’s Eucharistic Miracle exhibit on display.

This event will kick off St. Benedict the Moor Mission Church as a new pilgrimage site. It’s a great honor for our diocese and Bishop Pohlmeier invites everyone, especially youth and their families, to join this special day.

Registration: Suggested donation of $25 per person, which includes lunch, relic cards and more. To register, visit https://BlessedCarlo.com.  To download a flyer, click here.
