St. Madeleine Sophie Centennial Celebrations

St. Madeleine Sophie Parish in High Springs celebrated its centennial with two special Masses set a year apart. The opening Mass occured on May 26, 2024, at 11:30 a.m., with the Most Reverend Robert J. Baker, S.T.D., Bishop Emeritus of Birmingham, Alabama, as the principal celebrant. Priests who have served the parish over its history were also be present. Following the Mass, a reception was held in the Parish Hall.
The close of the centennial year will be celebrated on May 25, 2025, at the same time and location. The Most Reverend Erik T. Pohlmeier, Bishop of St. Augustine, will be the celebrant. As with the first event, all are welcome to attend the Mass and reception in the Parish Hall.
These two events are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the rich history and community that St. Madeleine Sophie Parish represents and to look forward to another century of faith and fellowship.
