In this fifth segment, we see the responses to the Protestant Reformation called forth from the Council of Trent. The Roman Breviary and Roman Missal become the norm for celebration of liturgy. Sacramental texts are created with a focus on rubrics. The liturgy of this time became more reserved to the clergy. This segment will end with a look at Vatican II/
