#iGiveCatholic: Making a Difference Together

As Thanksgiving approaches, our nation enters a season of gratitude and generosity. Inspired by #GivingTuesday, the #iGiveCatholic initiative encourages us to “Give Catholic,” supporting the parishes, schools and ministries that strengthen our faith. Last year, generous donors contributed over $670,000. This year, #iGiveCatholic falls on Tuesday, Dec. 3, with advanced giving starting Nov. 18. Here’s how your 2023 support made an impact:

St. Mary, Mother of Mercy, Macclenny

Thanks to your generosity, St. Mary, Mother of Mercy exceeded their fundraising goal last year, raising over $8,000. Father Martin Raj expressed deep gratitude for the community’s support, which funded cassocks and surplices for altar servers and supported the Oratory Scholars of St. Mary homeschool families. Seeing altar servers in their new attire is a testament to the difference your support makes.

Young Catholic Professionals (YCP)

Jacksonville’s Young Catholic Professionals raised over $10,000, surpassing their 2023 goal. Your contributions helped expand networking events, executive panel discussions and spiritual engagement through retreats and holy hours. The funds also supported community service projects, including a retreat at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios in St. Augustine and events at L’Arche, serving adults with disabilities.

Seminarians’ Pilgrimage to the National Eucharistic Congress

The Vocations Office received over $23,000, covering 60 percent of the costs to send 22 seminarians to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. The experience offered a deep spiritual renewal, with seminarians Nick Patin and Colter Brown sharing how the NEC deepened their love for the Eucharist – a passion they plan to bring to their future ministries.

Let’s make this year’s campaign another success by supporting the next generation of faith leaders. Your contribution can transform lives and strengthen our community.
