Traditional Spanish Nativity Scene at the Mission Shrine
Starting Saturday, Dec. 12, the Mission Nombre de Dios and Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, located at 27 Ocean Ave., in St. Augustine, will host a traditional Spanish-style nativity scene. It will remain open until Jan. 6. The scene is known as a “Belén” or “Bethlehem” and is a large scene that contains scores of little figures and shows the entire town of Jesus’ birthplace. You can visit the nativity scene during from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. -5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call (904) 824-2809.
